CISION Portugal is among the five finalists for the AMEC Awards 2009 in the category “Best Use of Integrated Communication Measurement/Research”.
The International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC) awards, in their eighth edition, are aimed at recognizing and promoting the best practice in communications planning, research and evaluation.
The project CISION was nominated for is an in-depth analysis of TMN’s sponsorship of the Sudoeste Festival. TMN is Portugal’s leading mobile operator and the Sudoeste Festival is the largest music festival in the country.
This analysis, called Communication Integration, assesses the brand and event image based on cross-referencing of the global communication plan strategies that were implemented, content evaluation and media impact reached and assessment of awareness, values and effects on public opinion. The importance of this analysis as a proactive work tool for the communication process and strategy can be reflected in this statement by TMN Director Luís Avelar: “According to a field survey carried out by Cision, approximately 97% of those surveyed associate TMN with SWtmn and say they would recommend the festival to friends and family. This result helps us to consolidate music as a key segment in our sponsorship strategy".
